Postpartum Support in Longmont
7.5% of new moms experience some form of a postpartum mood disorder. There are three precursors found to be connected to postpartum mood disorders:
1.) A personal or family history of anxiety or depression
2.) a history of premenstrual syndrome
3.) a severed or strained relationship with your mom (including a death).
The postpartum period is considered to be 0-1 year after having a baby, and during this time moods can feel very strong. Because becoming a mother is such a transformative experience, it is fertile ground to go deeper into your healing.
Dark emotions are always an opportunity to deepen your spiritual awakening. Postpartum depression and anxiety are a wonderful opportunity to use your symptoms to amend those areas of your life that are still in need of healing. This process makes motherhood all the more amazing. When you heal into life, your family heals with you.
