Psychotherapy is important in that it gives a voice to the pain and struggle within. However, talking about our pain can only get us so far. We need to feel it, we need to listen to it, and we need to utilize it to heal.
In an individual counseling session, your story and your experience of life will be honored in such a way that it becomes invaluable in your healing process. When your pain has meaning, your whole life – body, mind, emotions, environment – becomes a safe place for you to heal. Ultimately, I will meet you where you are and empower you to pave the way for a new way of being.
To complement the talk therapy work that is vital in increasing awareness, I have specialized training in Gestalt Therapy, which is an Experiential and Existential form of psychotherapy. This is a dynamic approach to psychotherapy where you use your present moment experience to move past your places of impasse.
